Vehicle Wraps: In the Movies!

Vehicle Wraps: In the movies!

Are you still not convinced that getting a vehicle wrap or vehicle graphics won’t grab attention to your company/business? Well, let me remind you for a second that there are some famous vehicles that certainly wouldn’t be the same without a vehicle wrap! Let’s jump back in time to a few classic favorites so I can show you what I mean!

Herbie: 1963 Volkswagen Beetle

Where it’s from: The Love Bug (and other motion pictures)

Claim to Fame: Who doesn’t love a curvy race car? No, we aren’t talking about a NASCAR, we mean Herbie! Herbie is a white Volkswagen Classic Beetle most commonly identified by a large number 53 on the two sides, hood and back. Also running from the back to the front of the car is two red and blue racing stripes with a white stripe in the middle. Capable of driving itself as well as feeling human emotions, Herbie was a zippy little Beetle with a 356 engine who gave the big boys a run for their money!

Think todays generation wont remember a movie from the 1960s? Well, Disney actually re-made the film in 2005, giving a whole new audience the chance to love this little bug.

General Lee: 1969 Dodge Charger

Where it’s from: Duke’s of Hazard

Claim to Fame: The General Lee was the Duke boys’ modified 1969 Dodge Charger and a Hazard County favorite. With a confederate flag painted on the roof and an all orange painted body, this car was sure to get some looks as it “flew” across your tv screen. Bo and Luke Duke were avid race car fans so what also makes the General Lee so easy to spot is the that the Charger’s doors that were welded shut and had a large “01” painted on each side. Like Herbie, if you think that this vehicle got lost with the times, think again. A movie of the Duke’s boys adventures in the iconic General Lee was made in 2005.

Mystery Machine: 1972 Bedford CF

Where It’s From: Scooby-Doo

Claim to Fame: We wouldn’t know about this colorful van if it weren’t for those medaling kids! The Mystery Machine is the transportation used to escort Scooby Doo and the gang to mysteries to solve and criminals to catch! The Mystery Machine is the only van on the planet that can give honest competition to the Partridge family’s tour bus in the “Most Psychedelic Van” category! We constantly get inquiries to wrap this van for magicians, clowns and other birthday entertainers. Not a bad gig, huh?

With these vehicles to spark your memory, you can now see why wrapping a vehicle definitely has its impacts on all sorts of audiences. There are even more vehicles that we didn’t mention in this article! The A-Team? The Partridge Family Bus? What are some of your favorites? Any honorable mentions? Leave us some comments! Do you have a vehicle that you think is worthy of being in Hollywood? Let us know!
